Born in the Fiji Islands, Jeraline Singh Edwards immigrated with her family to the United States in 1987. She attended elementary schools in Oakland, Berkeley, Vallejo and Chico California. Graduating from Chico Senior High School, she followed in the footsteps of her older brother by attending University of California, Santa Cruz. While attending UCSC, Jeraline enlisted in the Army National Guard as a Legal Specialist. After graduating with B.A in Legal Studies in 2002, she moved back home to Chico to help run the family business. Jeraline Singh Edwards started her legal career as a Legal Assistant at the Law Offices of Thomas K. Ledgerwood, In Chico she also served as the Paralegal Specialist for the 579th Engineer Battalion , Charlie Company.
In 2004, Jeraline was deployed with the 250th Military Intelligence Battalion to Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq as a Non-commissioned Officer (NCO) Paralegal Specialist. During her deployment she provided primary paralegal support to a Battalion Commander, Command Sergeant Major, and three Company Commanders in a 200-member Military Intelligence Battalion in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
After deployment, Jeraline moved to the Bay Area to find a job in the legal field. After working for several years and knowing that she always wanted to be an Immigration Attorney, Jeraline applied to Monterey College of Law in 2007. While attending law school, Jeraline worked full time at a local Immigration Law Office. Also during law school, Jeraline managed to continue her passion for community service by being the Treasurer for both Monterey College of Law Bar Association, and the local chapter of Delta Theta Phi. She also served one year on the 2010 Civil Grand Jury for Monterey County.
In May of 2011 she graduated with her Law Degree from Monterey College of Law. She was given the honor of being the student speaker at her graduation.
In December of 2013, Jeraline opened her Law Practice.
