David Lacki is principal of Lacki & Company, LLC, where he leads a growing law practice centered on business law, mergers and acquisitions, immigration, and estate and asset protection. Over the course of his nearly three-decade career, he has provided legal counsel to Fortune 100 companies, including AT&T and Comcast, as well as to national and international businesses across industries.

Mr. Lacki brings particular experience in manufacturing, engineering, information technology, health care, education, finance, scientific research, architecture, and construction, giving him a deep understanding of the business and workforce challenges facing employers in these sectors.

As part of his immigration practice, Mr. Lacki advises both employers and high-level professionals on all aspects of business immigration law. He assists corporate clients involved in mergers and acquisitions to ensure that foreign employees impacted by reorganizations maintain their immigration status. He also counsels companies on I-9 compliance, E-Verify, and hiring practices, and regularly represents employers and professionals in securing temporary and permanent visas, including H-1B, L, O, TN, EB-1, and EB-2 categories.

Before founding his firm, Mr. Lacki served as in-house counsel with Nextel Communications, Inc. and Wireless Facilities, Inc., advising senior management on complex legal issues for a $500-million publicly traded company with worldwide operations.

Mr. Lacki has also been a featured speaker on homeland security issues, including the Critical Infrastructure Information Act of 2002: The Essential Asset for Homeland Security, hosted by the Association for Enterprise Integration. His pro bono work includes service with the nationally recognized Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Program at DC Superior Court.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the Eagle Bank Foundation, and is an active member of the Maryland State Bar, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Maryland Bar Association, Montgomery County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Mr. Lacki graduated magna cum laude from The George Washington University with a degree in political science and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston. He also holds Six Sigma Black Belt training and certification, with expertise in operational and program management, ISO compliance, and SSAE No. 16 audit controls.

He lives with his wife and daughter in Rockville, Maryland.
